Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken
I’m sure you have seen that creamy chicken with a can of cream of chicken, a block of cream cheese, and a bottle of Italian dressing. But what if you are like me and are dairy free and horrified at the ingredients of those items? Well, now you can make that old trusty recipe but all cleaned up. Another great dump and go dinner in the slow cooker for an easy dinner. Just make some pasta or zoodles and a vegetable and you have a wonderful dinner that took minimal effort. Totally family friendly and you can make a big batch of it if you have company. All those wonderful flavors without the weird stuff, a total winner in my book. It is Whole30, low carb, Keto, gluten free, dairy free, can be either nut or soy free.
Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken
3 chicken breasts
8 oz cream cheese, dairy free (nut based or soy based)
1 teaspoon granulated garlic poweder
1 teaspoon dehydrated onion flakes
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup almond milk
- Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker. Mix the remaining ingredients and then pour over the chicken
- Cover and cook LOW 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Shred chicken and serve with sauce over pasta or zoodles.
All those spices give this chicken it’s signature flavor.
Mix it all together and set that slow cooker to give you dinner without hands on time!
