Onion Ranch Seasoning
This is one of my most popular items on my site but it was buried with another recipe, my Slow Cooker Onion Ranch Chicken. If you haven’t made that yet, please do, it is super simple and sooooooo delicious, perfect for crazy days and you can shred it up and make a bunch of different things.
Back to this seasoning, this is meshing together ranch seasoning and that French onion dip mix we all know and love. But this is a version with just spices and seasonings, no weird additives, so it is great to sprinkle on all the things. In fact, this seasoning is in an obscene amount of my recipes on the blog because it adds that perfect flavor my kids will devour no matter what it is on! Below is the list of recipes I already have on the site but will be sharing more soon:
I also love sprinkling some on vegetables to roast, it is so tasty! What do you like putting it on? This makes a pretty big batch so use a larger jar, I like the 1 1/2 cup mason jar with a wide mouth. You can even divide it into smaller jars and give as a neighbor gift for the holidays, you know it will be appreciated!
Onion Ranch Seasoning
9 Tablespoons onion powder
6 Tablespoons dried onion flakes
6 Tablespoons dried parsley flakes
2 Tablespoons granulated garlic
2 Tablespoons cracked black pepper
1 Tablespoon dried dill weed
4 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons dried chives
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- In a bowl or jar, combine all the spices and seasoning until all mixed.
- Store in a jar with a top for 6 months and sprinkle on everything
I gather all my spices and seasonings and the jar I will be storing the mix in.
and mix it all up
My kids stole my funnel but have no fear, a small piece of parchment paper can make a cone and a perfect funnel! Just spoon or pour into your jar. Alternatively, you can just use the jar to dump in the spices and seal and shake it!
Slowly pull out your “funnel” and you are done!
