Thanksgiving Turkey Salad Sandwiches
Chicken salad is a family favorite around here and with leftover turkey, we wanted to make a Thanksgiving leftover we all love. Enter the Thanksgiving Turkey Salad , it is packed with crunchy, sweet, creamy, and fresh, perfect for anytime of the year. We love turkey so much,, we always buy two turkeys and save on in the fridge for the summer. We have a little Thanksgiving mid-year and we love it. Shred your turkey up and you can make a ton of different things with it. Anytime you see turkey or chicken, you can swap for either! So if you are craving Thanksgiving flavor but cannot find turkey, use some chicken, so easy. You can use a low sugar cranberry to make it low carb or an apple juice-sweetened cranberries for a Whole30 version. It’s already gluten free and dairy free, although you can use Greek yogurt for an alternative to mayo. The possibilities are endless!
Thanksgiving Turkey Salad Sandwiches
3 cups cooked turkey, cubed
4 stalks celery, diced
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/4-1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
- In a bowl, toss all the ingredients together until all combined. Serve on bread, in a lettuce cup, or straight from the bowl.
Turkey, celery, dried cranberries, green onions, pecans, mayo, and poultry seasoning make an easy and delicious “salad”
Grab your favorite whole grain bread and place everything into a bowl
